Sahl Relationship Manager, Kimathi Street Branch & Gateway Branch

About the Role

The Sahl Relationship Manager is responsible for leading and managing both corporate and retail customer relationships. The role holder will drive the sales of Shari’ah-compliant products and other cross-basket products to meet targets, maintain and grow the SAHL book, and ensure the highest service standards. Additionally, the role involves managing credit risks, mitigating losses, and training branch staff on Shari’ah banking products.

Key Responsibilities

• Relationship Management: Manage and lead customer relations for both corporate and retail portfolios. Maintain and grow existing SAHL customers through enhanced relationships.
• Sales & Growth: Meet set targets in terms of numbers and values for both liabilities and assets. Drive Shari’ah-compliant product sales and cross-sell other bank products.
• Collaboration: Liaise with Relationship teams and the Retail Branch network to expand and grow the business.
• Risk Management: Mitigate losses such as frauds and revenue leakages. Manage Portfolio at Risk (PAR) in accordance with set targets.
• Staff Development: Conduct training and development sessions for branch staff.
• Operations & Administration: Ensure proper documentation and administration of Shari’ah-compliant portfolios.
• Customer Service: Monitor and manage SAHL customer complaints, review service delivery standards, and position staff to ensure the maintenance of the highest service standards.

Experience and Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s degree from a recognized institution.
• An Islamic Banking Certification is an added advantage.
• At least 3 years of general work experience.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in Banking Operations.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in Shari'ah banking.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in Credit.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in Sales & Relationship Management.
