The Sahl Banking Cluster Manager is responsible for driving cluster-level growth of Sahl Banking through deposit mobilization, financing expansion, revenue generation, and customer acquisition across assigned Retail branches and the Corporate Sector. The role involves identifying market opportunities aligned with Islamic banking principles and ensuring strict adherence to Shariah structures and governance frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
- Growth & Acquisition: Drive cluster-level growth through deposit mobilization, financing expansion, revenue generation, and customer acquisition across assigned Retail branches and the Corporate Sector.
- Market Expansion: Identify and execute local market and segment opportunities aligned to Islamic banking principles to expand the Sahl customer base and balance sheet.
- Shariah Compliance: Accountable for first-line Shariah compliance, ensuring all products, transactions, and customer engagements adhere strictly to approved Shariah structures and governance frameworks.
- Risk Management: Proactively identify, manage, and escalate Shariah, operational, and reputational risks arising from branch activities within the cluster.
- Customer Experience: Ensure consistent high-quality customer experience, complaint resolution, and ethical conduct, reinforcing customer trust and confidence in Sahl Banking.
- Coordination: Act as the primary coordination point between Retail branches and central stakeholders including Sahl Banking, Shariah Compliance, Risk, Operations, IT, Marketing, and Customer Experience teams.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Support and work closely with both internal and external stakeholders in matters of Shariah banking; execute marketing and community outreach initiatives to grow awareness and uptake of Sahl Banking offerings.
- Team Capability: Build branch and corporate banking team capability through training, coaching, and performance support, enabling frontline teams to effectively sell, service, and manage Sahl products.
- Performance Monitoring: Monitor cluster performance against growth, service, and compliance targets, implementing corrective actions to address gaps.
Qualifications and Experience
- A Bachelor's degree (BA/BSc/HND) in a relevant field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the banking sector.
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of Islamic Banking and Shariah compliance principles.
- Experience in business development, relationship management, and driving financial growth.
- Strong risk management and ethical conduct track record.
