The Information Systems Administrator will be responsible for providing ICT support in the organization, maintaining ICT Systems, managing network infrastructure, servers and system backups. This role is central to ensuring the Sacco's core banking systems operate seamlessly and securely while protecting member data and transactions through advanced cybersecurity measures.
Responsibilities and Duties
Manage network infrastructure, servers, and system backups.
Implement Cybersecurity measures to safeguard member data and transactions.
Oversee the Sacco’s core banking system, ensuring seamless operation and security.
Provide technical support to staff and resolve IT-related issues promptly.
Maintain and update Sacco management software for efficiency and compliance.
Monitor and improve system performance, ensuring minimal downtime.
Manage user accounts, access rights, and data security policies.
Coordinate with vendors for hardware, software, and IT service maintenance.
Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
Professional Certifications in Microsoft, Fortinet, or CompTIA.
Membership in a professional body.
At least 3-5 years’ experience in IT administration, preferably in a Sacco or financial institution.
Experience with Sacco Core Banking Systems.
Strong understanding of database management (SQL, Oracle, etc.).
Knowledge of network administration, firewall management, and cybersecurity.
Familiarity with mobile and digital banking integrations.
Ability to troubleshoot IT issues and provide timely support.
Excellent interpersonal and Communication skills.
High degree of integrity, attention to detail, and dependability.
Leadership skills and competence in ICT.
