PathCare Kenya is seeking a Roaming Laboratory Technologist to join its team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing mobile laboratory services by visiting patients at their locations and ensuring the safe handling and transport of medical specimens.
Role Overview
As a Roaming Laboratory Technologist, you will play a crucial role in expanding PathCare's reach by bringing diagnostic services directly to the patient. This role requires technical expertise in specimen collection and the ability to operate a motorbike safely for transport.
Responsibilities
Collect blood and other clinical specimens from patients at their homes and offices.
Accurately label and document all collected specimens to ensure traceability and patient safety.
Ensure the safe packaging and timely transportation of specimens to the laboratory facility.
Adhere to strict infection control and biosafety protocols at all times to protect patients and staff.
Requirements
Education: Bachelor in Laboratory Science.
Licensing: Must possess a valid motorbike driving licence.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in specimen collection (phlebotomy) and knowledge of biosafety standards.
