Key Responsibilities and Duties
Perform comprehensive quantitative data analysis for selected research objectives as agreed upon with Principal Investigators.
Produce high-quality, standard Methodology and Results sections for scientific reports or publications.
Manage and interpret complex datasets, including health, environmental monitoring, and sensor data.
Utilize R or Python to ensure all statistical analyses are reproducible.
Work within strict research timelines to deliver thematic reports.
Ensure data integrity and confidentiality throughout the consultancy period.
Requirements and Qualifications
Education: A Master’s degree or PhD in Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Environmental Health, or a closely related quantitative discipline.
Technical Skills: Demonstrated expertise in longitudinal and multilevel modelling of health data.
Analytical Skills: Strong proficiency in R or Python for reproducible statistical analysis.
Domain Experience: Proven experience working with environmental or climate exposure data.
Research Record: A record of relevant peer-reviewed publications (candidates must provide a list with their application).
Legal/Tax: Candidates must have the right to work in Kenya and be registered taxpayers with the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA).

Experience with time-series analysis, survival analysis, or exposure-response modelling.
Familiarity with maternal and neonatal health research in LMIC settings.
Experience handling data from high-frequency sensors or wearable devices.
