Job Description

As a Reservations Manager, you will be responsible for maximizing overall revenue from all reservation sources through the development and implementation of effective inventory and pricing strategies based on future demand forecasts for all hotel and resort properties. You will supervise and coordinate the activities of the reservations team, ensuring all Accor corporate and local operational standards are met while driving revenue growth and REVPAR through strategic yield management.
Key Responsibilities
Revenue & Yield Management: Maximize overall revenue and REVPAR through effective inventory and pricing strategies; analyze market data and customer relationship management programs.
Forecasting: Responsible for both long and short-term revenue forecasting and management.
Team Leadership: Train, motivate, and develop reservation staff; supervise and coordinate daily tasks and attendance reporting.
Departmental Operations: Handle day-to-day operations of the Reservations Department, including taking, recording, and cancelling reservations.
System Management: Amplify the functionality of all reservation source software and ensure accurate data entry into the Property Management System (PMS).
Group & Sales Coordination: Manage room allotments for conventions or groups from the sales department and correspond with groups and travel agents regarding special requests.
Quality & Internal Controls: Conduct daily arrival checks to avoid rebates, ensure proper guest profiling, and verify individual guest folios.
Client Engagement: Identify and address prospective clients' needs through professional telephone conversation and identify exact requirements through targeted questioning.
Reporting: Complete daily, weekly, and monthly activity logs and compile monthly market share reports.
Requirements
Education: A Degree in Hotel Management or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in a similar capacity.
Language Skills: Excellent reading, writing, and oral proficiency in the English language. Proficiency in local or other languages is an added advantage.
Technical Skills: Good working knowledge of MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Professionalism: High degree of professionalism with sound human resources management and business acumen.
Attributes: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, ability to multi-task under deadlines, rational problem-solving approach, and a strong customer focus.
