Research Officer II

Key Responsibilities

• Support the implementation of research policies, strategies, guidelines, plans, and standards while ensuring compliance with relevant laws and statutes.
• Conduct policy analysis to identify needs for legislative, procedural, and policy reforms within the policing sector.
• Collect and collate data for the development of both internal and external research reports for the Authority.
• Implement research frameworks and utilize specific tools for effective data gathering and analysis.
• Conduct research related to the Authority’s mandate to inform decision-making and enhance police oversight.
• Analyze public policy issues, identifying emerging trends and information that affect the Authority, stakeholders, and public programs.
• Participate in the implementation of approved policy proposals and initiatives.
• Maintain and update divisional records accurately.
• Support the publication and dissemination of research findings to relevant stakeholders.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in any of the following fields: Economics, Business Management, Project Management, Statistics, Monitoring and Evaluation, Social Sciences, or an equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
• Must be proficient in computer applications with demonstrated expertise in using statistical packages for data analysis and management.
