The Research, Learning and Knowledge Management Intern will support the development of the regional research and Knowledge Management (KM) strategy and coordinate the implementation of various initiatives. This role is central to coordinating the generation, building, and sharing of knowledge to enhance child wellbeing through World Vision programs. The Intern will work closely with the Strategy and Programme Quality department, under the guidance and coaching of the Monitoring and Evaluation Advisor, and collaborate with other teams and leaders to support the implementation and tracking of the partnership/regional office learning agenda. Furthermore, the role supports the Communication and GAM units in sharing key updates, reports, and success stories aligned with the three focus areas: Impact, Influence, and Income. The intern will also track the implementation of the Box project to ensure timely document updates, ease of access, and collaboration within and across teams.
Major Responsibilities
1. Support Documentation, Content Creation, and Learning (40%)
- Support mapping of National Office (NO) and regional research efforts in line with the Research Agenda and Plans.
- Assist in developing summary research findings in collaboration with related offices and/or units.
- Review research and learning reports for quality and compliance to set standards.
- Conduct research on various assigned topics and subjects, including providing data on indicators of interest.
- Document research recommendations and track their implementation to enable agility in programming.
- Provide technical support for quality research where appropriate.
- Support the packaging of learning information and publications.
- Support quality documentation of regional learning forums.
- Produce reports, summaries, presentations, and other materials to communicate findings and insights.
- Support meta-analysis of research projects and evaluation reports.
- Manage the database and information regarding university and research institution partners.
2. Support Review, Updating, and Tracking Knowledge Management Platforms (35%)
- Provide technical support in content development for the Strategy and Programme Quality and other departments.
- Support the review of files and resources updated in Knowledge Management platforms, ensuring their quality and usability.
- Collaborate with Knowledge Management Champions in updating resources on related KM platforms.
- Track the implementation of Knowledge Management in line with the Critical to Quality framework.
- Support the organization and maintenance of knowledge repositories, such as databases or document management systems.
- Support in setting up and managing Box folder structures and naming conventions in compliance with the WVI EARO Knowledge Management Protocol.
- Support the development of questionnaires and data collection instruments for research and KM initiatives.
3. Support Capacity Building (15%)
- Provide technical support in the use of Box and other Knowledge Management platforms, including wvcentral, MS Teams, and Onedrive, amongst others.
- Support staff orientation on the use of KM platforms.
4. Admin Support and Others (10%)
- Handle scheduling, coordination, and other administrative tasks related to learning and knowledge management activities.
- Adherence to Ethical and Regulatory Standards: Following ethical guidelines and ensuring research practices align with established standards and regulations.
- Perform any other duty as may be assigned by the supervisor or designee from time to time.
- Participate and contribute to committees and task forces as assigned from time to time.
- Support and follow up on communication with field offices, GC, and university partners.
- Organize scheduling and note taking for CHILD advisory group engagements.

Required Education, Training, License, Registration, and Certification
- A Masters Degree in research-related courses, including but not limited to Statistics, Economics, Data Science, Project Management, or any related field of study.
- Must have good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Must be well respected in society for Christian values and professionalism.
- Good knowledge and commitment to WV’s ethos, philosophy of work, and CORE documents.
- Demonstrated Leadership skills evidenced by previous leadership roles in a church, Christian Union, and/or para church organization.
- Recent East African graduate eligible to work in Kenya are encouraged to apply.
- Must possess sound biblical beliefs.
