Regulatory Affairs AI and Automation Intern

This internship role focuses on accelerating Regulatory Affairs processes by leveraging cutting-edge AI and automation technologies. The intern will play a critical part in ensuring the efficient delivery of high-quality, compliant regulatory documentation, specifically supporting multi-country drug registrations across East Africa.

Key Responsibilities: AI-Enabled Regulatory Acceleration

The intern will utilize advanced AI tools (such as ChatGPT, document parsing, OCR, and automation) to achieve significant acceleration in regulatory workflows. Duties include:

• Draft dossier modules summaries.
• Extract, organize, and cross-reference content effectively from multiple documents.
• Create and maintain submission checklists.
• Compile comprehensive regulatory documentation.
• Cross-check dossier completeness and consistency rigorously.
• Support accelerated dossier preparation and submission while strictly ensuring accuracy, quality, and compliance.
• Work towards reducing dossier compilation time significantly (from days to hours) through the strategic implementation of AI tools.
• Collaborate closely with the Regulatory Affairs team to meet submission requirements and timelines.
• Support multi-country drug registrations across East Africa.

Qualifications and Experience

To be considered for this internship, candidates must meet the following minimum requirements:

Education

• A Degree in: Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biotechnology, Biomedical Sciences, Life Sciences, Computer Science, Engineering, or Data Science.

Skills & Attributes

• Ability to execute tasks efficiently and deliver results within the shortest timeframes.
• Must be highly tech-savvy and comfortable utilizing AI tools on a daily basis.
