Job Description
This is an entry and training grade for Registered Clinical Officers. An officer at this level will work under the guidance and supervision of a senior officer. The role involves a broad range of clinical duties including patient diagnosis, treatment, community health initiatives, and administrative data management to support the health services of Narok County.
Responsibilities
Taking patient history, performing physical examinations, and diagnosing conditions.
Interpreting laboratory and imaging results to provide accurate treatment plans.
Treating common ailments for both outpatient and inpatient cases.
Implementing community health care activities in collaboration with other health workers.
Providing guidance and counseling to patients, clients, and staff on health-related matters.
Sensitizing patients and clients on preventive and promotive health practices.
Referring patients and clients to appropriate health facilities when necessary.
Providing clinical outreach and school health services.
Carrying out minor surgical procedures as per training and proficiency.
Collecting and compiling clinical data for reporting and analysis.
Assessing, preparing, and presenting medico-legal reports.
Requirements
Diploma in Clinical Medicine and Surgery from a recognized institution.
Certificate of Registration from the Clinical Officers’ Council.
Valid practicing licence from the Clinical Officers’ Council.
Certificate in Computer application skills.
