Based in Nairobi and reporting to the Regional Auditor & Internal Controller, the candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of the internal control system of the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Control and ensure that all Group procedures are applied correctly (financial and operational process).
Verify all accounting processes (treasury, customers, suppliers, etc.).
Control operations processes (transporters validation, etc.).
Control of all documents/signatures.
Control the task segregation and all suppliers IT access.
Ensure all expenses are accounted for.
Ensure full recoveries are made by operations.
File analysis (margin per file, customer, etc.).
Control disbursements in the system and ensure files are in order (billing, documentation in place, etc.).
Analyze credit note files.
Control stock taking.
Liaise with external auditors and follow up their recommendations.
Ensure compliance with Tax regulations and other statutory requirements.
Conduct financial and systems audits and ascertain their completeness, effectiveness, and reliability.
Qualifications & Profile
Business degree (BA/BSc/HND).
CPA (K) certification.
Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) designation.
