Role Overview
The Regional Head of Sales for Industrial and Automotive Paints/Coatings is a strategic leadership role focused on driving growth across regional segments. As a leading coatings solutions provider, MSVL Group seeks a professional to identify new market opportunities and strengthen the company's positioning. The position involves high-level technical and commercial engagements within the manufacturing, construction, infrastructure, marine, and automotive sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Business Leadership: Drive regional growth strategy for industrial and automotive segments, identify new market opportunities, and strengthen the company's positioning as a leading coatings solutions provider.
- Industrial Market Development: Expand coatings business across key sectors including manufacturing, construction, infrastructure, marine, and heavy equipment by driving specifications and technical engagement with clients and contractors.
- Automotive Refinish Business Growth: Develop and scale the automotive refinish network through partnerships with workshops, dealerships, and distributors while promoting high-performance coating solutions and training programs.
- Key Account Management: Manage relationships with major industrial clients and distributors, lead contract negotiations, and deliver customized coating solutions for large-scale projects and tenders.
- Technical & Product Leadership: Provide technical expertise on coating systems and corrosion protection, support product trials, and ensure solutions meet industry standards and customer requirements.
- Regional Sales Leadership: Lead and mentor regional sales teams, set KPIs, and drive a strong solution-selling and performance-driven culture.
- Financial & Operational Performance: Deliver revenue and margin targets, monitor performance metrics, and collaborate with supply chain teams to ensure product availability and efficient distribution.
Key Result Areas (KRAs)
- Achieve 15-25% annual revenue growth in Industrial & Automotive segments.
- Expand into new industrial sectors and key accounts.
- Increase value and volume of project tenders and specifications.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
- Master's degree preferred; NACE Certification is an added advantage.
- Minimum 5+ years of senior-level experience in paints, coatings, or industrial chemicals.
- Proven experience managing industrial coatings or automotive refinish product lines.
- Strong leadership experience managing regional teams and key accounts.
- Strong commercial, technical, and stakeholder management capabilities.
