Sidel is looking for a Regional Field Service Engineering (FSE) Manager for Automation. The successful candidate will lead and manage a team of Field Service Engineers, ensuring efficient technical interventions, adherence to safety standards, and alignment with company strategic goals in the beverage packaging industry.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Escalation: Serve as the first point of contact for FSEs regarding on-site issues or technical challenges. Provide guidance and resolve problems during interventions.
Intervention Planning: Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to ensure interventions are thoroughly prepared, covering technical requirements, timing, and resources.
Resource Management: Support the planning team by identifying and assigning FSEs based on their specific skill sets and availability.
Performance Management: Set and monitor KPIs, conduct Annual Performance Assessments (APA) including mid-year and end-of-year reviews, and manage team development.
Safety & Compliance: Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for any on-site accidents in collaboration with the HSE team. Ensure all FSEs maintain up-to-date HSE training and certifications.
Administrative Oversight: Manage FSE leave requests, review post-intervention reports for accuracy, and approve expenses in coordination with the finance department.
Talent Development: Promote continuous multi-skill development for the team and provide necessary tools and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Recruitment: Lead efforts to identify, interview, and onboard new FSEs to meet technical and organizational requirements.
Feedback & Process Improvement: Gather post-intervention feedback from engineers to improve working conditions and operational processes.
Requirements & Qualifications
Education: A Bachelor's degree (BA/BSc) or Higher National Diploma (HND) in a relevant field.
Industry Knowledge: Mandatory technical knowledge within the beverage industry.
Leadership: Demonstrated leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Competencies: Ability to manage team performance, handle escalations, and align technical staff with organizational objectives.
