Amentum is seeking a Recreation Services Specialist to facilitate recreation programs and services designed to enhance the morale and welfare of military personnel and civilians. This role involves supporting recreational activities, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and delivering high-quality customer service within a military community setting.
Key Responsibilities
Program Oversight: Support the development, delivery, and oversight of recreation programs and activities tailored to the needs of the military community.
Safety & Compliance: Ensure compliance with guidelines for the handling and storage of hazardous materials as specified in CNICINST 1710.3. Maintain readiness and compliance with safety standards for all recreational facilities.
Operations Management: Manage day-to-day recreational services, including the smooth operation of programs, facility maintenance, and equipment inspections.
Event Support: Set up and support the delivery of special events, sports leagues, and community-wide recreational activities.
Customer Service: Interact professionally with patrons, responding to inquiries and ensuring customer needs are met. Participate in mandatory customer service training equivalent to the Navy’s MWR Star Service.
Inventory Control: Assist in the proper management and inventory of supplies and materials used in recreational programs.
Requirements & Qualifications
Education: High school diploma or equivalent (KCSE).
Certifications: Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or the ability to obtain it prior to employment.
Technical Training: Training or certification in the proper handling and storage of hazardous materials (CNICINST 1710.3) is required.
Travel: Must possess a valid passport (with at least 1 year validity remaining) and be able to travel internationally.
Medical: Ability to successfully pass contract medical requirements and maintain these requirements for the duration of the deployment.
Experience: Familiarity with recreational activities, programs, and customer service in a community or military setting is preferred.
