Information about the role
The Quality Assurance, Internal Audits and ISO Certification Specialist is responsible for ensuring that the highest standards of quality, compliance, and certification are maintained within the WIOCC Group. This role involves supporting cross-functional Quality Management and assurance processes, supporting internal audits, and maintaining ISO and any other industry-based certifications. The specialist will work closely with various departments to implement and monitor quality controls, internal audit practices, and ISO standards to support continuous improvement and operational excellence. The position reports to the QAIA-ISO Certification Manager.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Quality Assurance
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance processes and procedures.
- Conduct regular inspections and testing of products/services to ensure adherence to quality standards.
- Identify and address quality issues and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive quality improvements and ensure compliance with customer requirements.
Internal Audits
- Plan, execute, and report on internal audits to evaluate the effectiveness of controls, compliance with regulations, and adherence to company policies.
- Identify areas for improvement and recommend actionable solutions to enhance operational efficiency and risk management.
- Follow up on audit findings to ensure timely and effective resolution of issues.
- Maintain comprehensive audit documentation and reports.
ISO-based Certifications
- Manage and maintain ISO certification processes, including preparation for audits and recertifications.
- Ensure ongoing compliance with ISO standards (including ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, 50001, 22301) and implement necessary updates to policies and procedures.
- Provide training and support to staff on ISO standards and best practices.
- Oversee documentation and record-keeping related to ISO compliance and certification.
- Ensure management of the WIOCC Group Integrated Management System.
Industry-based Certifications
- Manage certifications related to PCI-DSS (Payment Card Industry – Data Security Systems), Uptime, SOCII, and any others preferred by the business.
Skills, Experience, and Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree (or equivalent, Master’s degree preferred) in a business-related field, Quality Management, Business Administration, or equivalent Professional Certifications.
- Professional Certifications: Relevant certifications such as ISO Lead Auditor, Six Sigma, or Quality Management Professional (preferred). Prince II or any other Project Management certification and ITIL4 – Practitioner certification are also preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 7 years of working experience in an accounting and operations environment. Experience in the telecoms industry and PCI–DSS experience are added advantages.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data interpretation skills.
- Communication: Excellent communication and soft skills, with fluency in written and oral English.
