Quality Assurance Engineer Consultant (Functional & Automation)

Inkomoko is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer Consultant to ensure the highest standards of software quality through functional and automated testing. This role involves working across various systems including ERP workflows and Fineract CBS integrations to deliver high-quality software solutions.\n\n### Scope of Work & Key Responsibilities\n\n#### Functional QA\n- Analyze business requirements, BRDs, and user stories.\n- Create detailed test plans, test cases, and structured test scenarios.\n- Perform regression, smoke, UAT, and integration testing.\n- Validate ERP workflows (roles, permissions, data flows).\n- Test UI/UX across browsers and devices.\n- Verify data integrity between Fineract CBS, ERP, and integrations.\n- Report, track, and prioritize defects using Jira.\n- Participate in sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.\n\n#### Automation QA\n- Design and implement automated test scripts.\n- Build API test automation (REST endpoints).\n- Automate regression test suites and integrate into CI/CD pipelines.\n- Monitor automated test reliability and address flakiness.\n- Collaborate with DevOps for pipeline integration.\n- Maintain and improve automation coverage.\n\n#### QA, Security & Compliance\n- Support audit readiness through detailed test documentation.\n- Ensure security awareness in test design (authentication, data handling).\n- Validate compliance with organizational standards.\n\n#### Collaboration & Documentation\n- Work closely with Developers, DevOps, and PMs for sprint delivery.\n- Maintain technical and functional documentation for all QA processes.\n- Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and sprint retrospectives.\n\n### Deliverables\n- Comprehensive test plans, test cases, and QA reports.\n- Automated test suites integrated into CI/CD pipelines.\n- Validated ERP workflows and Fineract CBS–integration data flows including videos for UAT guidance.\n- Monthly QA progress reports highlighting defect trends, automation coverage, and regression cycle time.\n- Reduced defect leakage and improved production stability.\n\n### Requirements\n- BA/BSc/HND qualification in a relevant field.\n- 5+ years of Quality Assurance experience (covering both manual and automation testing).\n- Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.\n- Experience in API testing using tools like Postman or Swagger.\n- Proficiency with automation tools such as Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress.\n- Experience with testing frameworks like PyTest, JUnit, or TestNG.\n- SQL proficiency for data validation purposes.\n- Git familiarity is mandatory.\n\n### How to Apply\nInterested and qualified candidates should apply online through the Inkomoko recruitment portal: .
