We are looking for a Quality Assurance & Control Manager to oversee our Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring compliance with KEBS, industry standards, and other regulatory requirements while driving continuous improvement throughout the production cycle.
Core Responsibilities
Quality Management System Oversight
Oversee Quality Management System (QMS).
Ensure compliance with KEBS, industry standards and other regulatory requirements.
Conduct regular internal audits to verify adherence to QMS procedures.
Facilitate external audits by regulatory bodies or customers.
Process Improvement and Optimization
Identify areas for process improvement within the production cycle.
Develop and implement corrective and preventive action plans.
Monitor and analyze production data to identify trends and areas for enhancement.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process optimizations.
Product Inspection and Testing
Implement inspection and testing protocols for raw materials, in-process, and finished goods.
Conduct regular product inspections to ensure adherence to quality standards.
Investigate and address non-conformities, and implement corrective actions.
Key Deliverables
Quality Audit Reports: Timely submission of comprehensive quality audit reports with recommendations for process improvements based on findings.
Documentation: Documentation of corrective actions and monitoring of their effectiveness.
Awareness Programs: Raising awareness of quality issues among production staff and monitoring process alignment with updated standards.
Quality Metrics Monitoring: Regular updates to the Head of Production, including analysis and action plans to address declining performance.
Key Decision Making
Setting products manufacturing and quality testing standards.
Quality grading and decisions.
Reduction and control measures of undergrade and waste.
Quality assurance/control laboratory equipment’s requirement and maintenance.
Manpower planning, recruitment, motivation/welfare, discipline and release.
Audit and certification - deciding when and how to conduct internal and external audits.
Key Skills & Competencies
Technical Proficiency in Quality Assurance.
High attention to detail and decision-making skills.
Strong team management and leadership abilities.
Qualifications
Education: BA/BSc/HND degree in a relevant field.
Experience: Minimum of 10 years' experience in quality assurance roles, preferably within textile manufacturing.
Expertise: Proficiency in Six Sigma, TQM principles, and other quality methodologies.
Data Proficiency: Ability to interpret data to drive process improvement and ensure compliance.
Soft Skills: Result-oriented with a relentless commitment to customer success; proactive and a team player.
