We are seeking a motivated QA Testing Engineer to join our engineering team. In this role, you will be a dedicated QA team member responsible for establishing and improving our quality assurance processes while performing both manual and automated testing. You will work closely with developers and stakeholders to ensure the delivery of high-quality software products through rigorous testing methodologies and documentation.
Key Responsibilities
Process Definition: Help define and document QA processes and testing workflows.
Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test documentation.
Standards: Establish bug reporting standards and testing checklists.
Quality Improvement: Contribute to improving quality practices within the development lifecycle.
Manual Testing: Perform functional, regression, integration, and exploratory testing; validate new features before release.
Defect Tracking: Identify, document, and track defects clearly; work closely with developers to verify fixes.
Automation: Develop and maintain automated test scripts and identify repetitive test cases suitable for automation.
CI/CD Integration: Support the integration of automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
API Testing: Conduct API testing where applicable.
Collaboration: Participate in sprint planning and requirement discussions, ensuring acceptance criteria are testable and clear.
Advocacy: Advocate for product quality within the team.
Requirements
Experience: 1–3 years of experience in software QA (manual testing required).
Methodologies: Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and SDLC.
Tools: Experience with bug tracking tools (Jira, Azure DevOps, etc.) and familiarity with API testing tools (Postman or similar).
Technical Knowledge: Basic knowledge of SQL for data validation is a plus.
Soft Skills: Good communication and documentation skills; ability to work independently and take initiative.
