The Project Officer for the Mount Elgon Livelihoods Project (MELP) will support smallholder farmers in implementing sustainable agriculture and climate-smart land management practices, strengthen farmer organizations, facilitate project activities, and promote climate change adaptation and mitigation.

Key Responsibilities & Scope
Support smallholder farmers in implementing sustainable agriculture and climate-smart land management (SALM) practices.
Capacity build and strengthen farmer organizations.
Facilitate overall project activities at the community level.
Promote climate change adaptation and mitigation strategies.
Manage stakeholder engagements and project reporting.
Requirements and Qualifications
Degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, Agricultural Extension, Natural Resource Management, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in NGO operations.
Proven experience in agroforestry, SALM, climate change, and community development.
At least 2 years of experience in project management.
Strong stakeholder engagement and reporting skills.
