Job Description
Role Overview\n\nThe Project Management Support Senior Officer will conduct substantive analysis, judging the validity of conclusions, and synthesizing proposals to meet demands related to project planning, reporting, and knowledge management within the VCEP project. This role requires high-level coordination with management to track project progress and ensure compliance with UNOPS standards.\n\n### Responsibilities\n\n#### Planning\n- Create detailed project baselines, work breakdown structures (WBS), and milestones using Google Sheets and MS Project.\n- Track project milestones, outputs, and deliverables, alerting management to potential delays or risks.\n- Create high-level plans and milestone reports as required by management.\n\n#### Reporting and Coordination\n- Develop and maintain calculation sheets in Google Sheets for tracking verified claims and expenditures.\n- Support the development and review of operational and financial reports, forecasts, and project presentations.\n- Provide quality inputs for project reporting to the Deputy Project Manager.\n- Quality assure project reports and deliverables prior to submission to ensure accuracy and completeness.\n\n#### Knowledge Management and Record Keeping\n- Collect, clean, structure, and validate project data for accuracy and reliability.\n- Maintain an effective records system and ensure all business processes are backed by required documentation.\n- Support coordination activities and follow up on the progress and quality of team products.\n- Assist the Senior Project Manager and Output Team Leads in ensuring the overall verification process runs smoothly.\n\n### Requirements\n\n#### Education\n- Advanced Degree: Master's Degree (or equivalent) in Business Administration, Project Management, Economics, Public Administration, Engineering, or a relevant field with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.\n- First-level Degree: Bachelor’s Degree in the same fields with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.\n- Certification: PMP or PRINCE2 certification is highly desired.\n\n#### Experience and Skills\n- 2 to 4 years of professional experience in project operational support (planning, reporting, procurement, contract management, or asset management).\n- Proven skills in contract administration and/or project management.\n- Proficiency in Google Sheets and MS Project for creating schedules and reports.\n- Experience within the international development or humanitarian sector is desired.\n- Knowledge of UNOPS/UN rules and regulations is an added advantage.\n\n### How to Apply\n\nInterested candidates should submit their application through the UNOPS careers portal.
