Job Description
The University of Nairobi is seeking a Project Driver to facilitate daily vehicle movements for project staff, guests, and deliveries in a safe and professional manner. The role involves ensuring the security of the vehicle and passengers, maintaining the assigned vehicles, and adhering to all project policies and traffic regulations.
Duties and Responsibilities
Facilitate daily vehicle movements for project staff, guests, and deliveries in a safe and professional manner.
Ensure the security of the vehicle and passengers at all times.
Ensure assigned vehicles are well maintained.
Adhere to and operate project vehicles in line with the project policies and traffic regulations.
Prepare and maintain vehicle logs for fuel, mileage, and service records.
Ensure all vehicle-related invoices are accurate, correspond with supporting documents, and are submitted in a timely manner for payment processing.
Report mechanical issues and other vehicle-related matters promptly for action.
Any other duties assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications and Experience
At least a KCSE certificate or an equivalent qualification.
Must have a valid driving license, class BCE.
Must have a valid certificate of good conduct.
Have at least five (5) years’ experience supporting donor projects.
Certificate in Basic Mechanics.
Certificate in Defensive Driving.
PSV Certificate will be an added advantage.
