The Project Assistant - Makueni role is crucial for supporting the day-to-day implementation of project activities at the county level in Makueni. This position requires a candidate who can effectively coordinate with various stakeholders and handle logistical and reporting duties in a field-based setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Support day-to-day implementation of project activities at the county level.
- Coordinate with farmer groups, cooperatives, county officials, and private-sector partners.
- Collect, organize, and submit field data, activity reports, and supporting documentation in line with donor reporting requirements.
- Support monitoring of project milestones, outputs, and timelines.
- Assist in organizing field visits, trainings, stakeholder meetings, and demonstrations.
- Support communication between field teams and the central project management team.
- Support basic logistics and follow-up actions to ensure smooth project execution.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum Education Level: Diploma or Degree (BA/BSc/HND).
- Field of Study: Project Management, Agribusiness, Agriculture, Policy, or a related field.
- Experience: At least 2 years of relevant experience, preferably in project management, policy advocacy, agribusiness, or agriculture.
- Language: Fluency in the local language (Kamba).
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.

- Willingness to work in a field-based role within Makueni County.
