Job Description
The National Syndemic Diseases Control Council (NSDCC) is seeking a Programme Officer for Grants Management. This role is responsible for providing technical support and capacity building for health promotion, prevention, control, and management of syndemic diseases. The officer will support the strengthening of primary health care systems in Kenya through the initiation, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of program policies and strategies, while ensuring the prudent management of grant budgets.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in the development of grant proposals for the Council.
Review financial reports from applicants and grantees to perform due-diligence procedures and identify potential risks or concerns.
Maintain grant compliance and reporting, ensuring high standards of effectiveness, timeliness, and completeness in outcome measurement and budgeting.
Participate in the monitoring and oversight of grant utilization to ensure fiscal accountability.
Support the development, implementation, and review of program policies, strategies, and guidelines.
Qualifications and Requirements
Academic Background: A Bachelor's Degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, BioStatistics, Health Economics, Social Sciences, Business Development, Development Studies, Business Administration, or an equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
Professional Membership: Must be a member of a relevant professional body.
