Job Description
Overview
UNICEF is seeking a Programme Associate (G-6) to provide essential administrative and operational support to the Global Programme Division (COE) based in Nairobi. This role is key to ensuring the efficiency of program activities, maintaining financial accountability through budget monitoring, and coordinating effectively with implementing partners.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management and Coordination: Facilitate the planning and execution of projects while coordinating with diverse implementing partners.
Data Management and Reporting: Collect, manage, and analyze program-related data to produce comprehensive reports for internal and external stakeholders.
Financial Oversight: Monitor project budgets, track expenditures, and ensure all grant reporting requirements are met accurately and on time.
Operational Efficiency: Support digital innovation initiatives, including the adoption of AI tools to enhance workflows and productivity.
Communication and Knowledge Sharing: Manage the dissemination of information and engage with stakeholders to ensure alignment and effective knowledge transfer.
Event Planning: Coordinate logistics for workshops, training sessions, and other capacity-building events.
Surge Support: Provide additional administrative assistance during peak operational periods or emergency response situations.
Requirements and Qualifications
Education: Completion of secondary education (KCSE or equivalent) is required. Preference is given to candidates with additional technical or university-level courses related to the organization's work.
Experience: A minimum of six (6) years of professional experience in administrative or clerical work is mandatory.
Languages: Fluency in English is required.
Technical Proficiency: Demonstrated experience with SAP/ERP systems, data analysis, and familiarity with AI-driven productivity tools.
Skills
Strong project management and organizational capabilities.

Knowledge of budget monitoring and grant management.
