Overview of the Role\n\nJacaranda Health is seeking a Program Officer to coordinate, supervise, and lead the implementation of PROMPTS and Mentorship program activities in Kwale County. The role ensures alignment with key performance indicators and program deliverables to transform maternal healthcare and make pregnancy and childbirth safer for women and newborns.\n\n### Key Responsibilities\n\n\n- Coordinate and lead the implementation of PROMPTS and Mentorship program activities in the allocated counties.\n- Support priority facilities by working closely with in-facility mentors and PROMPTS contact staff to strengthen program performance and compliance with the Data Protection Act.\n- Plan and participate in joint county performance review meetings and maintain regular communication with stakeholders.\n- Coordinate facility and community-based PROMPTS enrollment activities to increase ANC coverage.\n\n\n- Support in-facility mentors to run CME and simulation drill activities.\n- Support PROMPTS contact persons to create awareness and enrollment on the digital SMS platform.\n- Coordinate efficient EmONC coaching activities by ensuring all necessary tools and simulation materials are available.\n- Manage PROMPTS tools through continuous updates and improvements.\n\n\n- Build and manage relationships with County, sub-county, and Health Facility teams (including RH, MNH, and QI teams).\n- Collaborate with colleagues to improve overall program performance.\n\n\n- Prepare and share monthly reports with the regional program coordinator and health facilities.\n- Coordinate and follow up on the utilization of the PULSE dashboard across facility and county management levels.\n- Communicate county challenges and opportunities with context-specific solutions to the program coordinator.\n\n### Requirements and Qualifications\n\n- Diploma in Nursing or Clinical Medicine.\n- Minimum of 4 years of experience implementing maternal and newborn health programs within the public health system.\n- Coaching, mentorship, facilitation, and people management skills.\n- Strong communication, coordination, and teamwork skills; ability to work in culturally diverse environments.\n- Proficient in MS Office and G-Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, and Google Sheets).\n- High integrity, reliability, professionalism, and a willingness to learn.\n- Experience in Health Systems Management, Public Health programs, or knowledge of EmONC knowledge and skills.\n\n### How to Apply\n\nInterested and qualified candidates should apply online via the Jacaranda Health recruitment portal at .
