Sheer Logic Management Consultants is seeking to recruit Production Supervisors for manufacturing operations in Nairobi. The role involves maintaining a reliable manpower pool, acting as a liaison between staff and management, and ensuring the smooth running of factory floor processes while adhering to safety and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
Manpower Management: Maintain a reliable pool of manpower for operational needs, ensuring availability and readiness of staff.
Communication: Act as the primary liaison between deployed staff and management, communicating key updates and concerns.
Operational Briefings: Conduct daily briefings and toolbox talks with staff.
Disciplinary & Policy Enforcement: Enforce disciplinary procedures and ensure adherence to company policies.
Staff Administration: Manage staff attendance, deployment, and shift planning.
Employee Welfare: Handle employee grievances and welfare issues in coordination with relevant stakeholders.
Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records, including attendance, wage summaries, and compliance documentation.
Resource Mobilization: Respond to manpower shortages by mobilizing replacements from the approved pool.
Health & Safety: Oversee workplace health & safety practices, including PPE usage and hygiene standards.
Floor Supervision: Supervise factory floor processes such as product handling, inspection, and housekeeping.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g., medical certifications, safety standards).
Culture & Accountability: Promote a positive safety culture and accountability among staff.
Loss Prevention: Prevent product loss through proper supervision and staff training.
Requirements
Education & Experience Options:
A Diploma in Management with at least 3 years’ experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment; OR
A Degree in a Technical field with at least 1 year’s experience in manufacturing.
Experience Level: Overall 1 - 3 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing context.
