Talent Grid Africa is seeking a Production Supervisor to oversee operations in a packhouse environment. This role goes beyond supervision, requiring a professional who understands that production efficiency, food safety compliance, and quality assurance directly impact customer satisfaction, export standards, and business profitability. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring production targets are met while maintaining high standards of food safety and quality control.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee daily packhouse operations and ensure production targets are consistently met.
Maintain strict compliance with food safety and quality standards including HACCP, GMP, and GlobalG.A.P.
Supervise, coach, and mentor production teams to improve performance and accountability.
Conduct ongoing quality checks to meet regulatory and customer expectations.
Optimize material usage, reduce waste, and support cost efficiency.
Maintain accurate production records and reports.
Enforce workplace safety and hygiene standards.
Qualifications and Requirements
Diploma or Degree in Food Science & Technology, Agriculture, Horticulture, or a related field.
Minimum 2 years’ experience in food processing, fresh produce, or packhouse supervision.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Knowledge of food safety systems and production best practices.
Proficiency in MS Office (specifically Word & Excel).
