Peoplelink Consultants Ltd is seeking a qualified and experienced Production Supervisor to manage operations on the molding floor. The successful candidate will oversee machine operators, coordinate manufacturing runs across various molding lines, and enforce strict safety and quality standards to ensure efficiency and minimal waste.
Key Responsibilities
Supervision & Training: Oversee, train, and manage machine operators and production workers on the molding floor.
Manufacturing Coordination: Coordinate daily manufacturing runs across extrusion, injection, or blow molding lines to meet strict delivery schedules.
Efficiency Optimization: Monitor machine cycle times and raw materials to maximize efficiency and minimize plastic scrap/waste.
Quality & Safety Audits: Conduct regular audits on finished products to ensure zero-defect standards while enforcing workplace safety regulations.
Issue Resolution: Identify and resolve molding defects (such as flashing and warping) and machine downtime in coordination with the maintenance team.
Reporting: Maintain accurate daily production logs, raw material usage records, and yield reports.
Requirements
Education: Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Mechanical, or Polymer/Plastics Engineering (or an equivalent technical field).
Experience: 3 to 5 years of supervisory experience specifically within a plastic manufacturing environment (injection molding, extrusion, or blow molding).
Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of plastic materials, mold setups, machine calibration, and processing parameters.
Key Skills: Excellent leadership, troubleshooting, and communication skills, with a proactive approach to solving production floor issues.
