Job Description
Role Overview
The Production & Inventory Technician (Medical Devices) at Peoplelink Consultants Ltd is a dual-function role responsible for the technical assembly and calibration of medical equipment as well as the meticulous management of production inventory. This position ensures that all manufacturing processes adhere to ISO 13485 standards and that stock levels are accurately maintained to prevent production downtime.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Production: Execute the assembly, calibration, and testing of medical devices in strict accordance with ISO 13485 standards.
Inventory Accuracy: Lead weekly and monthly physical stock takes for raw materials and finished goods. Reconcile physical inventory counts with digital records and resolve any discrepancies immediately.
Efficiency & Reporting: Track and report scrap or rejected components to support lean manufacturing and cost-efficiency goals.
Environment Control: Maintain controlled environments by following strict cleanroom sterilization and contamination control procedures.
Procurement Support: Monitor reorder levels for critical components and coordinate with procurement to prevent production downtime.
Traceability & Safety: Manage device traceability by assigning and tracking batch/lot numbers from raw materials to final dispatch. Ensure all inventory handling aligns with medical-grade quality and safety protocols.
Requirements
Education: Diploma in Biomedical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Technology, or Supply Chain Management with a technical background.
Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in a medical device or high-precision manufacturing environment.
Knowledge: Deep understanding of ISO 13485 (Medical Devices - Quality Management Systems).
Software Skills: Proficiency in inventory software (ERP/SAP) and advanced proficiency in Excel and digital inventory tracking tools.
Technical Skills: Exceptional numerical accuracy and mathematical skills for precise stock reconciliation and unit measurements.
Management: Ability to manage high-volume SKUs (Stock Keeping Units) with a methodical approach to labeling and storage.
Soft Skills: Strong communication skills to effectively coordinate between production staff and warehouse managers; High level of ethics and a "zero-error" mindset regarding life-saving equipment.
