The Product Owner is responsible for a product throughout its entire lifecycle. This includes identifying customer needs, assisting the business in building the right products, and providing the vision and leadership for the many other roles involved in developing, supporting, marketing, and selling the product. The role holder ensures the product supports the company's strategy and goals. As a central figure for innovation in Loop DFS, the Product Owner acts as the steward of the department's innovation management process.
Key Accountabilities
Product Acceleration (35%)
Manage feature development end-to-end; provide guidance and feedback to Product Analysts and Engineers, ensuring alignment.
Take ownership of products to drive the product and business-planning process across cross-functional teams.
Serve as the voice of the customer throughout the product development process.
Develop use case documentation and mock-ups for proposed customer journeys.
Collaborate with managers in Customer Management, Operations, Portfolio Management, Data Science, and Engineering for cross-area features.
Drive teams to acquire necessary data to validate assumptions, demonstrate value, and drive prioritization.
Product Strategy (30%)
Develop product positioning and messaging that differentiates features across primary market segments.
Define initial product propositions and go-to-market strategies for new expansion markets.
Align stakeholders around the product vision and prioritize product features and capabilities.
Consult with the C-suite regarding financial data and ways to improve business operations.
Customer Experience (20%)
Develop a deep understanding of users and gauge customer needs to propose prospective solutions.
Drive the execution of all product lifecycle processes, including market research, competitive analysis, planning, and roadmap development.
Work with the Senior Product Manager to identify potential opportunity areas and implement effective courses of action.
Run experiments (A/B testing) to improve conversion ratios and feature adoption.
Send quality messages and notifications to customers at the optimal time.
Remove friction from the user experience.
Learning and Growth (15%)
Drive Employee Engagement initiatives within the Product department.
Maintain high performance and personal growth while helping team members achieve their career growth plans.
Ensure up-to-date competency assessments and development plans are in place.
Foster close collaboration across the Group to cultivate collective responsibility for achieving business goals.
Job Specifications
Academic Qualifications
At least an undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related quantitative subject area; or equivalent experience.
Experience and Skills
5+ years of product management experience shipping world-class products at fast-growing companies.
Knowledge of multiple functional areas, including product management, engineering, UX/UI, sales, customer support, finance, or marketing.
Understanding of go-to-market commerce enablers (e.g., payments, loyalty, subscriptions, etc.).
Exceptional communicator with the ability to generate stakeholder buy-in and influence cross-functionally.
Extensive experience building intuitive UI and premium UX for large feature sets on small screens.
Extremely data-driven with the ability to make pragmatic assumptions when perfect data is unavailable.
Proven experience shipping high-quality product features at a Fintech company.
Ability to achieve strategic goals and evolve product strategy based on research and industry trends.
Experience working with third parties, evaluating APIs, mapping out integration plans, and evaluating technology options.
Experience with A/B testing as a tool to inform product improvements.
Proven capabilities in leading design thinking/co-creation engagements with senior leaders.
Experience in managing medium-sized and diverse teams, ideally including creative teams of designers and developers.
