Reporting to the Director of Finance and Strategy, the Procurement Manager will be responsible for developing and executing procurement strategies, sourcing high-quality goods and services at competitive prices, and ensuring efficient supply chain operations. The role holder will manage vendor relationships, ensure compliance with procurement policies and regulatory requirements, and drive cost savings while maintaining the highest standards of integrity and service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute comprehensive procurement strategies to support organizational goals.
Source high-quality goods and services at competitive prices to ensure value for money.
Manage and optimize supply chain operations for efficiency.
Oversee vendor relationships, including selection, evaluation, and performance management.
Ensure strict compliance with internal procurement policies and the Public Procurement and Asset Disposal Act (PPADA).
Drive cost-saving initiatives without compromising on quality or service standards.
Manage contracts and negotiate favorable terms with suppliers.
Utilize ERP systems (specifically Navision) to streamline procurement processes.
Requirements and Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Procurement and Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Commerce, or a related field.
A Master’s degree or relevant professional qualification (CIPS, CPSP-K or equivalent) will be an added advantage.
At least 7 years’ relevant experience in procurement and supply chain management, with a minimum of 3 years in a managerial or senior supervisory role.
Experience working in a reputable organization, preferably in the automotive, fleet management, or service industry.
Strong knowledge of the Public Procurement and Asset Disposal Act (PPADA) and other relevant Kenyan procurement regulations.
Proven track record in supplier negotiation, contract management, and cost optimization.
ICT savvy with excellent working knowledge of ERP systems (preferably Navision or similar).
High level of integrity, negotiation skills, and attention to detail.
