Job Description
The National Council for Children’s Services is a State Corporation established under section 41 of the Children Act, 2022, with a mandate to regulate, coordinate, and oversight children services in Kenya and advise the government on all matters relating to children. The Principal Human Resource Management and Development Officer will be responsible for ensuring the effective administration of human capital to support the Council's mandate.
Duties and Responsibilities
Interpreting and implementing Human Resource management policies, strategies, regulations and guidelines.
Coordinating payroll administration, processing and Human Resource database management.
Implementing staff training and development programs.
Ensuring compliance with Human Resource management practices, policies, regulations and relevant government policies and guidelines on employee management and administration.
Undertaking annual surveys on employee satisfaction (ESS), Work Environment Satisfaction (WES) and Training Needs Assessment (TNA).
Undertaking any other functions as may be lawfully assigned.
Requirements for Appointment
For appointment to this Grade, an officer must have:
At least nine (9) years’ relevant work experience and at least three (3) years as Senior Human Resource officer.
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management or equivalent qualifications from a recognized institution.
Member of the Institute of Human Resource Management (IHRM) or any other relevant professional body.
Management Course lasting not less than four (4) weeks from a recognized institution.
Computer Proficiency skills.
