Job Description
Role Overview
Examination Officers at the Human Resource Management Professionals Examinations Board (HRMPEB) are responsible for the comprehensive management of the Examination Administration process. The Principal Officer will report to the Manager, Examination Administration, and will play a critical role in ensuring the integrity, security, and efficiency of professional HR examinations in Kenya.

Duties and Responsibilities
Policy and Planning: Developing, reviewing, and implementing examination policies, strategies, and departmental plans.
Framework Management: Developing and managing the examinations framework and creating detailed examination schedules for the Board.
Results Management: Ensuring the accurate processing of candidates’ marks and the timely release of examination results; analyzing results to provide data-driven recommendations.
Security and Integrity: Ensuring strict security and confidentiality of all examination materials and processes; maintaining safe custody of all materials.
Administrative Support: Facilitating the efficient administration of examinations and managing the student registration process.
Candidate Relations: Receiving and examining exemption and appeal applications; verifying credentials for new and continuing students to ascertain eligibility.
Management: Developing departmental budgets and work plans; performing any other duties as assigned.
Person Specification
Experience: Must have served in the grade of Senior Examination Administration Officer (HRMPEB Grade 4) or a comparable position for a minimum of three (3) years.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Education or an equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
Master’s degree in Education, Human Resource, Business Administration, or an equivalent qualification.
Professional Certifications:
Post-graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management.
Certified Human Resource Professional (CHRP).
Completion of a Management Course lasting at least four (4) weeks from a recognized institution.
Memberships: Must be a member of the Institute of Human Resource Management (IHRM) or another relevant professional body.
Compliance: Must fulfill the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya.
Competence: Demonstrated professional competence and managerial skills reflected in work performance.

Ability to lead, motivate, and constitute teams for optimal productivity.
Exceptional analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills to interface with management and stakeholders.
Exemplary written and oral communication skills.
Discretion in handling confidential and sensitive material.
Proficiency in computer applications and solid knowledge of the Human Resource Industry.
