Role Overview
The POL System Dispatcher is responsible for monitoring, coordinating, and dispatching Petroleum, Oils, and Lubricants (POL) operations in support of fuel distribution, storage, and handling activities. This role serves as a central communication hub, tracking fuel movements and relaying critical operational information to field teams, supervisors, and leadership to ensure safety and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor, coordinate, and dispatch POL operations supporting fuel distribution and storage activities.
Track fuel movements, tank levels, equipment status, and operational requirements using approved systems and communication channels.
Receive, document, and relay work requests, service needs, and operational updates to POL teams and supervisors.
Maintain accurate logs, dispatch records, fuel usage reports, and operational documentation in accordance with Navy and program standards.
Communicate effectively with field personnel and maintenance teams via radio, phone, and digital platforms.
Support the scheduling of fuel deliveries, equipment usage, and routine or corrective maintenance.
Coordinate emergency response actions related to spills, equipment failures, or safety incidents.
Follow all environmental, safety, and regulatory requirements related to fuel handling.
Report operational issues, delays, or safety concerns to leadership as required.
Requirements and Qualifications
1-3 years of experience in dispatching, fuel operations, logistics coordination, or related industrial environments.
High school diploma or equivalent (KCSE).
Must possess a valid passport (valid for at least one year beyond hire date) and be able to travel internationally.
Ability to pass contract medical requirements and maintain eligibility for the duration of the deployment.
Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization.
