Physiotherapist

Key Responsibilities

• Patient Assessment and Diagnosis: Assess patients to diagnose physical conditions and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Therapeutic Interventions: Administer physical therapy interventions such as manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, electrotherapy, and functional training.
• Progress Monitoring: Monitor and evaluate patient progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
• Patient Education: Educate patients and their families on managing conditions and preventing further injuries.
• Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in line with professional standards.
• Reporting: Prepare and submit periodic reports on patient outcomes, workload, and departmental activities.
• Equipment Maintenance: Ensure physiotherapy equipment is well-maintained and used appropriately; report any damaged or malfunctioning equipment to the appropriate department.
• Professional Ethics: Adhere to professional and ethical standards in patient care.
• Quality Improvement: Participate in clinical audits, continuous medical education (CME), and quality improvement initiatives.
• Collaboration: Refer patients to other specialists when necessary and participate in wellness programs and community outreach activities to promote physical health.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Physiotherapy from a recognized institution.
• Valid license from the Physiotherapy Council of Kenya (PCK).
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role.
• Excellent clinical assessment and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
