Job Description
The National Quality Control Laboratory (NQCL) is a State Corporation within the Ministry of Health responsible for the Quality Control of Medicines on behalf of the Government. NQCL is seeking to recruit three (3) Pharmaceutical Analyst I professionals specializing in Biologics and Vaccines Testing Analysis. This role is crucial for performing specialized analytical tests to ensure the safety and efficacy of medicinal products in Kenya.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out specialized analysis of biologics and vaccines to determine their quality.
Ensure all medicinal products tested meet set national and international standards.
Maintain accurate and detailed laboratory records of all analysis performed.
Adhere to Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and established laboratory protocols.
Monitor and ensure the functionality of laboratory instrumentation.
Provide technical reports based on analytical findings.
Requirements and Qualifications
A cumulative service period of at least three (3) years at the grade of Pharmaceutical Analyst II or in a comparable position.
Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy, Environmental Health, or its equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
Valid Certificate of Registration as a Pharmacist from the Pharmacy and Poisons Board.
Proficiency in computer applications for data management and analysis.
Proven merit and ability as reflected in previous work performance and technical results.
