The People & Culture Coordinator (Policy Compliance & Safeguarding) supports the United Bible Societies' People Team by coordinating safeguarding programs, ensuring HR policy compliance, and managing employee relations documentation. This role is pivotal in maintaining a culture of ethical behavior and protecting organizational integrity across various international and local jurisdictions.\n\n### Key Responsibilities\n\n\n- Create and maintain safeguarding templates, reporting forms, and internal toolkits.\n- Coordinate internal safeguarding processes and ensure accurate filing of incident reports.\n- Administer safeguarding training for staff, leadership, and board members.\n- Deliver safeguarding onboarding for new joiners, covering the Code of Conduct and reporting procedures.\n- Manage the safeguarding documentation repository in compliance with privacy requirements.\n- Assist with safeguarding investigations by collating evidence and acting as a note-taker.\n\n\n- Maintain a central repository of HR policies (Safeguarding, Whistleblowing) with effective version control.\n- Coordinate cyclical policy reviews and support drafting/formatting of HR procedures.\n- Track and report organization-wide compliance with existing policies.\n- Support managers in addressing compliance breaches and maintaining accurate records.\n\n\n- Coordinate the periodic review of employment contract templates across jurisdictions with legal counsel.\n- Maintain records of contract templates to ensure compliance with regulatory changes.\n- Track and manage organizational insurance policies (liability, travel, professional indemnity).\n- Serve as the point of contact for insurance service providers.\n\n\n- Provide administrative support for ER processes, including disciplinary, grievance, and capability matters.\n- Prepare case documentation and ensure secure storage in line with GDPR/data protection policies.\n\n\n- Champion ethical behavior and safeguarding awareness organization-wide.\n- Act as the first point of contact for staff queries regarding policies and compliance.\n- Support internal communications on compliance topics through newsletters and campaigns.\n\n### Qualifications and Experience\n- Undergraduate degree in HR, law, social sciences, safeguarding, compliance, or a related field (Mandatory).\n- At least three years’ equivalent experience in HR, law, safeguarding, or compliance.\n- Experience coordinating policies, procedures, or governance systems.\n- Experience handling confidential information with high integrity.\n- Exposure to workplace investigations or casework administration.\n- Ability to interpret policies or legal requirements in a practical way.
