Role Overview
The Part-time Tutor (Perioperative Nursing) will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and assessment through lectures, seminars, and supervision. The role involves providing academic leadership in curriculum development, student evaluation, and learning strategies to support student success and foster effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders to advance the Institute’s academic objectives.
Duties and Responsibilities
Teach and examine courses through lectures, seminars, and supervision.
Provide leadership in the development of appropriate syllabuses, resources, marking policies, assessment, and learning strategies within the Institute.
Deliver lectures and monitor student progress during training, providing support and advice to enable students to excel in their studies.
Evaluate the academic progress of students, record findings, and devise action plans where necessary.
Manage relationships with all key stakeholders both internally and externally and maintain appropriate communication with them.
Perform any other duties as may be assigned.
Qualifications and Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BScN) or its equivalent from an institution recognized by the Nursing Council of Kenya.
Higher Diploma in Perioperative Nursing from an institution recognized by the Nursing Council of Kenya.
A Master's degree in Nursing will be considered an added advantage.
At least three (3) years of work experience specifically in Perioperative Nursing.
Registration with the Nursing Council of Kenya (NCK).
A valid practice license from the Nursing Council of Kenya.
Proficiency in computer applications.
Compliance with Chapter Six (6) of the Constitution of Kenya.
