Part-time Tutor (Perioperative Nursing)

Duties and Responsibilities

• Teach and examine courses through lectures, seminars, and supervision.
• Provide leadership in the development of appropriate syllabuses, resources, marking policies, assessment, and learning strategies within the Institute.
• Deliver lectures and monitor student progress during training, providing support and advice to enable students to excel in their studies.
• Evaluate the academic progress of students, record findings, and devise action plans where necessary.
• Manage relationships with all key stakeholders both internally and externally and maintain appropriate communication with them.
• Perform any other duties as may be assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BScN) or its equivalent from an institution recognized by the Nursing Council of Kenya.
• Higher Diploma in Perioperative Nursing from an institution recognized by the Nursing Council of Kenya.
• A Master's degree in Nursing will be considered an added advantage.
• At least three (3) years of work experience specifically in Perioperative Nursing.
• Registration with the Nursing Council of Kenya (NCK).
• A valid practice license from the Nursing Council of Kenya.
• Proficiency in computer applications.
• Compliance with Chapter Six (6) of the Constitution of Kenya.
