Job Description
Kenyatta University Teaching, Referral & Research Hospital (KUTRRH) is seeking a qualified Part-time Tutor specializing in Oncology Nursing. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and assessment through lectures, seminars, and supervision. The role involves providing academic leadership in curriculum development, student evaluation, and learning strategies to support student success and advance the Institute’s academic objectives.
Responsibilities
Teach and examine courses through lectures, seminars, and supervision.
Provide leadership in the development of appropriate syllabuses, resources, marking policies, assessment, and learning strategies in the Institute.
Deliver lectures and monitor student progress during training, providing support and advice to enable the students to excel in their studies.
Evaluate academic progress of students, record findings, and devise action plans where necessary.
Manage the relationship with all key stakeholders both internally and externally and maintain appropriate communication with them.
Perform any other duties as may be assigned.
Requirements and Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BScN) or its equivalent from an institution recognized by the Nursing Council of Kenya.
Higher Diploma in Oncology Nursing from an institution recognized by the Nursing Council of Kenya.
A Master's degree in Nursing will be an added advantage.
At least three (3) years of work experience in Oncology Nursing.
Registration with the Nursing Council of Kenya.
Valid practice license from the Nursing Council of Kenya.
Proficiency in computer applications.
Compliance with Chapter Six (6) of the Constitution of Kenya.
