Information About the Role
This is an entry and training grade for the Orthopaedic Trauma Technologist cadre. An officer at this level will work under the supervision of a senior officer within the Narok County Public Service to provide essential orthopaedic supportive services.
Responsibilities and Duties
Orthopaedic Support: Providing supportive services in orthopaedics, which entail preparing and fitting of appliances that are required in orthopaedics.
Patient Assessment: Assessing patients’ needs to determine the appropriate orthopaedic interventions.
Documentation: Verifying and maintaining information relating to patients’ orders.
Inventory Management: Maintaining accurate records of medical supplies and orthopaedic equipment.
Requirements for Appointment
For appointment to this grade, a candidate must possess:
A Diploma in Orthopaedic Trauma Technology from a recognized institution.
A Registration certificate from the Kenya Health Professions Oversight Authority (KHPOA).
A valid practicing license from the Kenya Health Professions Oversight Authority (KHPOA).
A Certificate in computer application skills (this will be considered an added advantage).
