LifeCare Hospitals Migori is expanding and is seeking passionate healthcare professionals to join their growing team. We are looking for an Orthopaedic Surgeon who is committed to delivering quality, patient-centered healthcare and wants to be part of a dynamic medical team. The successful candidate will provide expert surgical and non-surgical care for patients with musculoskeletal conditions.
Responsibilities and Duties
Provide specialized medical and surgical care for injuries and diseases of the musculoskeletal system.
Conduct patient consultations, physical examinations, and review medical histories to diagnose conditions.
Perform orthopaedic surgeries, including fracture repairs, joint replacements, and corrective procedures.
Develop and implement individualized treatment and rehabilitation plans for patients.
Prescribe medications and recommend physical therapy or other non-surgical treatments as part of a holistic care approach.
Collaborate with other medical specialists, nurses, and support staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in compliance with hospital standards.
Participate in the hospital's on-call rotation for orthopaedic emergencies.
Requirements and Qualifications
Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) from a recognized institution.
Master of Medicine (MMed) in Orthopaedic Surgery.
Registration and licensing by the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council (KMPDC).
A valid practicing license for the current year.
Demonstrated experience in performing orthopaedic surgeries and managing complex trauma cases.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective patient and team interaction.
