Job Description
Equity Afia is a group of qualified and experienced doctors who have come together as a network of medical entrepreneurs with the aim of providing high-quality, affordable, and accessible healthcare to the majority of Kenyans. We are seeking a dedicated Optometrist to join our team to deliver exceptional eye care services and improve patient health outcomes.
Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive eye examinations and vision tests to assess patient eye health.
Diagnose visual disorders and eye diseases.
Prescribe, fit, and adjust eyeglasses, contact lenses, and other visual aids.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient clinical records.
Advise patients on proper eye care techniques and eyewear maintenance.
Refer patients to ophthalmologists or other healthcare professionals when specialized medical or surgical treatment is necessary.
Requirements
Diploma in Optometry from a recognized institution.
Must be a Licensed Optometrist registered with the Optometrists’ Association of Kenya.
Minimum of one (1) year of relevant professional experience.
Proficiency in computer applications and electronic health records.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
