The Operator at Safal Group is responsible for the effective operation and monitoring of production machinery to ensure production targets are achieved efficiently while maintaining high standards of quality and safety. The role involves machine setup, conducting quality checks, and performing basic maintenance to minimize downtime.
Key Responsibilities
Machine Operation: Operate and monitor production machinery according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to achieve desired output, quality, and efficiency.
Equipment Setup: Set up equipment for each production run and adjust parameters to ensure products meet the correct specifications.
Quality Control: Conduct regular inspections and tests to maintain product quality; troubleshoot or escalate machine issues as they arise.
Maintenance: Perform basic and autonomous maintenance tasks to support equipment reliability and reduce downtime.
Workplace Safety: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment in accordance with 5S/6S and company safety standards.
Reporting: Record and communicate production data, progress, and any deviations to supervisors; perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements and Qualifications
Academic Qualification: Must possess a minimum of a Grade Test 3 Certificate.
Education: KCSE certificate.
Experience: A minimum of 2 years' experience in a manufacturing environment.
Technical Skills: Basic proficiency in Computer Packages.
