Key Responsibilities
- Operate with integrity and ethical values, exhibiting honesty and pride in the job with a keen eye for detail.
- Maintain a clear understanding of departmental requirements.
- Ensure vehicle and company equipment are properly cared for and maintained in good running order.
- Provide professional customer service to both internal and external customers.
- Ensure correct use of vehicle and other company equipment, reporting any defects in a timely manner.
- Adhere strictly to standard operating procedures, including Health, Safety, and Risk procedures.
- Account for and complete all documentation as per instructions.
- Execute a daily vehicle inspection, utilizing a checklist, both when leaving and returning from the route.
- Drive the company vehicle safely and courteously.
- Conduct all communication in a polite, professional manner that promotes respect, goodwill, and trust.
- Keep vehicles and work areas tidy, safe, and neat at all times.
- Attend weekly/monthly meetings as per Administration guidelines.
- Operate within the legal limits regarding hours of work and speed limits.
- Refuel, check oil, and water levels, and carry out vehicle safety checks daily.
- Ensure the vehicle is 100% roadworthy and in good running order.
- Maintain strong customer relationships.
Qualifications & Experience
- Educated to O-level or equivalent.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in the driving industry.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to drive continuous improvement.
- Familiarity with the Nairobi routes and their environs.
- A deep understanding of supply chain needs, particularly within a logistics environment.
