Job Description
The Nutrition and Dietetics Technologist III is responsible for providing clinical and community-based nutritional services within Makueni County. This role focuses on improving public health outcomes through dietary assessments, interventions, and educational programs.
Salary Scale
Job Group 'H': KES 28,620 - 37,100 per month (including specified annual increments).
Responsibilities
Provide clinical nutrition services to patients in healthcare facilities.
Conduct nutritional assessments and develop personalized dietary plans.
Implement community-based nutrition programs and interventions.
Offer nutritional counseling and health education to patients and the general public.
Maintain accurate and detailed patient records and nutritional reports.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated patient care.
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of nutrition plans and therapeutic diets.
Requirements for Appointment
Diploma in Community Nutrition, Clinical Nutrition, or Nutrition and Dietetics from a recognized institution.
Certificate in Computer Application Skills from a recognized institution.
Registration by the Kenya Nutritionists and Dieticians Institute (KNDI).
Possession of a valid practicing license from the Kenya Nutritionists and Dieticians Institute (KNDI).
Shortlisted candidates will be required to obtain and produce original clearance certificates from:
The Criminal Investigation Department (CID/DCI).
Credit Reference Bureau (CRB).
The Higher Education Loans Board (HELB).
The Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA).
The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC).
Candidates must also produce original National Identity Card/passport, academic certificates, professional certificates, and transcripts during the interview.
