Role Overview
Equity Afia is a group of qualified and experienced doctors who have come together as a network of medical entrepreneurs with the aim of providing high quality, affordable and accessible healthcare to the majority of Kenyans. We are seeking a dedicated Nurse to join our team at our medical centre.
Key Responsibilities
While specific duties were not exhaustive in the posting, the role involves standard professional nursing services including:
Delivering high-quality patient care in accordance with medical standards.
Monitoring, recording, and reporting patient symptoms or changes in condition.
Administering medications and treatments as prescribed.
Maintaining accurate patient records using Health Management Information Systems (HMIS).
Providing emotional support and medical education to patients and their families.
Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure effective healthcare delivery.
Requirements
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) or Diploma in Kenya Registered Community Health Nursing (KRCHN) from a recognized Institution.
Registered and with a valid license from the Nursing Council of Kenya (NCK).
Certificate in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
At least one year of internship clinical working experience.
Proficiency in computer skills (especially Health Management Information Systems).
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
