Role Overview
The Network Manager is responsible for the day-to-day implementation of AgriCluster activities across irrigation schemes and farmer networks. This involves managing decentralized agri-agent networks, coordinating logistics for agricultural inputs, and maintaining digital systems for tracking and reporting.
Responsibilities
Field Operations & Cluster Coordination: Coordinate day-to-day implementation of AgriCluster activities across irrigation schemes and farmer networks.
Agri-Agent Network Management: Manage recruitment, supervision, and performance tracking of the Agri-Agent network.
Input & Seedling Order Management: Collect, validate, and coordinate seedling and input orders in alignment with AITEC production systems.
Distribution & Logistics Coordination: Organize seedling/input distribution logistics and delivery schedules.
Farmer Engagement & Communication: Maintain structured communication with farmers and Agri Agents via WhatsApp and direct channels.
Database & Digital Systems Management: Manage farmer databases and track orders and reports using Monday.com and other digital tools.
Training & Field Activities: Organize farmer trainings, demonstrations, and field days in coordination with the AITEC Agronomist.
Monitoring, Data Collection & Reporting: Collect field data, farmer feedback, and prepare operational performance reports.
Aggregation & Market Alignment Support: Support aggregation pilots and coordinate farmer participation with buyers and program teams.
Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Project Management, Agribusiness, Rural Development, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum 2–3 years of experience in project management, sales, farmer network management, or agribusiness operations.
Language: Fluency in English (spoken and written).
Work Eligibility: Legally eligible to work in Kenya without visa sponsorship.
Community Expertise: Strong understanding of smallholder farming systems and rural community engagement.
Farmer Network Experience: Experience working with farmer groups, cooperatives, or decentralized distribution models.
Field Mobility & Independence: Ability to travel frequently and work independently in rural areas.
