Mombasa Corporate Relationship Manager – Banking

Key Responsibilities

• On-boarding of Clients: Execute onboarding in accordance with established policies and procedures.
• Business Development: Increase earnings for corporate banking, facility uptake, and product utilization through cross-selling.
• Financial Advising: Analyze and advise clients on their personal financial needs and objectives.
• Relationship Management: Manage client relations focusing on both growth and retention.
• Customer Service: Quickly and effectively resolve customer complaints.
• Data Collection: Collect vital customer data relevant to account opening requirements.
• Credit Proposals: Draft corporate credit proposals and make recommendations to the credit committee.
• Credit Facilitation: Follow up on credit proposals, letters of offer, excess requests, notifications of excesses, and securities with the Credit department.
• Account Monitoring: Monitor relationships and attend to all relationship account queries.
• Team Collaboration: Contribute to initiatives and tasks assigned by the senior management team.
• Asset & Liability Management: Maintain quality corporate asset and liability books by ensuring timely collections on arrears and excesses.
• Deposit Mobilization: Actively support deposit mobilization initiatives.
• Ad-hoc Duties: Perform any other duties assigned by the immediate supervisor.

Experience

• Over 10 years of experience as a Corporate Relationship Manager within the banking sector.
• Trade Finance experience is mandatory.
• Well-versed in the business environment, with a strong capability in managing corporate portfolios, credit relationships, and trade finance transactions.
• Leadership or management training is an advantage.

Academic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a business-related field (Banking & Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration / Management) from a recognized university.
• Master’s Degree will be an added advantage.
