The Narok County Public Service Board is seeking to recruit qualified Medical Specialists I (Radiologist) to join the County Government. The role involves undertaking general diagnosis, care, treatment, and rehabilitation of patients, with a specific focus on specialized radiological clinical care within various health facilities.
Responsibilities
Undertake general diagnosis, care, treatment, and rehabilitation of patients.
Carry out specialized clinical care and provide psycho-social interventions.
Provide clinical services to patients and perform specialized procedures.
Train, consult, and perform surgeries in various health facilities where applicable.
Carry out forensic and medicolegal services.
Coordinate disease surveillance, prevention, and control.
Coordinate health education and promotion activities.
Implement health projects and programmes within the county.
Maintain up-to-date health information systems.
Monitor the provision of health treatment and care.
Undertake health research and analyze medical reports.
Requirements for Appointment
Served in the grade of Assistant Director, Medical Services/Medical Specialist II in the public or private sector or its equivalent for a minimum period of three (3) years.
A Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (M.B.Ch. B) degree from an institution recognized by the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council.
A Master of Medicine degree in Radiology from an institution recognized by the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council. (Degrees in Anaesthesiology, General Surgery, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, or Psychiatry are also recognized for this grade).
A Certificate of Registration by the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council.
A valid practicing license from the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council.
A Certificate in Strategic Leadership Development Programme lasting not less than six (6) weeks from a recognized institution is an added advantage.
A Certificate in computer application skills will be an added advantage.
