Medical Engineering Technologist III (Biomed)

Responsibilities

• Undertake preventive maintenance and repairs of medical/hospital equipment, plants, instruments, and furniture.
• Requisition for spare parts and consumables required for medical equipment maintenance.
• Maintain an accurate inventory of medical/hospital equipment, furniture, and plants.
• Collect data and information for research purposes.
• Collect information on medical engineering services for entry into the Integrated Health Information Management System.
• Perform minor repairs of health facilities and general utilities.
• Assist in the implementation of medical engineering programs and projects.

Requirements for Appointment

For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:

• Diploma in Biomedical Engineering Technology from a recognized institution.
• A registration certificate from the Kenya Health Professions Oversight Authority.
• A valid practicing licence from the Kenya Health Professions Oversight Authority.
• A Certificate in computer application skills will be considered an added advantage.
